Afternoon visit to Oare Marshes with Chris Bradshaw, visiting from Yorkshire. A nice set of bird sightings with a few surprises:
2 Water Rail, 1 Stone Curlew (flew west from Dan's Dock being mobbed by 2 Oystercatcher), 2 Whinchat, 1 Black Tern, 3 Sandwich Tern, 6 Common Tern, 11 Golden Plover, 2 Cattle Egret, 6 Little Egret, 3 Green Sandpiper, 2 Greenshank, 8 Knot, 1 Curlew Sandpiper, 1 Spoonbill, 12 Mediterranean Gull, 5 Swallow, 12 Yellow Wagtail.
