A bright dry morning, so we ventured to
Barton's Point on the
Isle of Sheppey and was pleased to locate 7
Snow Buntings feeding in the area. Soon after we looked on the sea off at
Leysdown where we counted over 70
Great Crested Grebes and 2
Red-throated Divers. In the fields, there were 520
Brent Geese. Following a scrummy apple slice from a Leysdown bakery each, we stopped in at
Capel Fleet and from the raptor viewing mound located 4
Marsh Harriers, 1
Merlin, 2
Common Buzzards, 1
Little Egret and a distant 'escape'
Harris Hawk.
